First Aid Lesson

One of my science teacher friends, Peter, came to teach us about First Aid. What does First Aid mean? For me, First Aid is the first thing/action that we can do to help people or ourselves when there is something happened so that it does not cause the problem to death. Peter had taught me many things about First Aid. These are the three most important things that I had learned:

  1. What to do if someone is choking
  2. Practice doing CPR with a bean bag
  3. What to do is someone, or you is bleeding

When you see someone is choking, you should follow the following steps:

  1. If you still can hear the person is coughing, please encourage that person to cough harder
  2. If that unsuccessful, get behind the person and give that person a five sharp blow between the shoulder blades using your palm
  3. If that two-step still not work, then still stay behind the person and do a five thrust up and down

What to do if you see someone is bleeding or you are bleeding?

  1. The first things that you should do are clean that suffering place with pressure water
  2. Then takes a nice and clean piece of cloth to wrap around that bleeding place

What to do if you see a person unconscious?

  1. You should try to wake that person up by shouting or pinching
  2. If that not work, try to call the emergency number and don’t leave that person alone
  3. Check to see if the person is still breathing or heart beating
  4. If the person is not breathing, you need to use your hands to push at the diaphragm muscle at the bottom of the rib cage
  5. If the individual is no purse, you need to start and do CPR
